Volunteers Needed!

July 2010 "Sitters' Schedule"

The Guild needs H E L P ! - click for a listing of how you can help!

We are always looking for volunteers to help with jobs around the Guild. In fact, as a non-profit volunteer based organization, we rely on it. As part of our continued effort to organize Guild information so it is easier for our members to access, we created a page of volunteer needs.

Remember, no amount of time you have to give is too small. Check the list out and call the Guild at 732-270-3111 to help out.

  • Host/Hostesses needed to provided a dessert and non-alcoholic beverage for the Wednesday Night Demonstrations.
  • Host/Hostesses needed to help set up light refreshments and beverages, and help throughout the Solo Show Openings.
  • Hangers: Help is needed to hang the works of art for the Members’ Monthly Shows and Solo Show Openings.
  • Publicity: We need help selling ad(s) for the Artisans’ Marketplace show guide. We also need help calling in information to various newspapers and creating flyers to promote Guild happenings.
  • Sitters: We need help answering the telephone, assisting with Gift Shop and Gallery sales and answering visitor’s questions, from 1 - 4 Tuesdays through Sundays. Training is provided.
  • Show receptionists needed to help sign in artists’ works for our Juried Photography Show and Juried Members’ Show.
  • House and Grounds: We always need help with the gardens, Summer isn’t the only time they need tended to. Work done in the Spring and Fall really prepares them for the Summer. Also, there is always something to do to help keep our Victorian house looking beautiful and from falling apart.
  • Decorating: Currently we only decorate for Christmas, and can always use help “decking the halls” for the season. Would anyone want to decorate for other holidays or seasons?
  • Artisans’ Marketplace: We need help before, during and after the Show with setup, assisting Artisans and customers during the Show, and clean up after.
