A still life is different for each class, always encouragingly working from life, and the challenges still life brings.
Instructor addresses:
- Basics sketches that need a second look
- How to approach a subject, depending on the medium
- Better ways to handle the medium the student brings
- Compositional errors
- Understanding the importance of value differences
- Help with color mixing, and application of cool and warm colors.
- Sometimes a demo of a particular skill

Recognizing a student’s strengths, encouraging that growth, and sometimes challenging a student to step out of their comfort zone with new approaches or mediums.
