Mondays July 8\, 15\, 22\, 29; 9:30-12:00pm\nStudents Choice Watercolors or Acrylics (wc-adult\, acrylic-adult\, abstract\, mixed-media). Instructor: Leona Lavone\n(summer\, wc-adult\, teen\, teens) \nAsemic writing is markings whether it be scribbles\, scratches\, brush strokes\, symbols or stitching that resemble handwritten words and sentences\, but have no recognizable content\, words or meaning. They are simply visual elements often used in mixed media and abstract artwork. The nature of asemic writing often results in patterns\, therefore can be a way of incorporating texture to artwork.  \nThe process of Asemic writing takes us back to the primitive and child like scribbles before we learned how to write\, helping us tap into our innate artistic nature. Because of its rhythmic and repetitive process\, it can also be a mindful and meditative practice. \nJoin me as we explore a variety of techniques utilizing different writing tools as well as explore different writing methods to shift the feel and look of your asemic writing. You will then use your pieces to create your one of a kind Watercolor Paintings. \nBring basic watercolor supplies. \n\nA Sharpie Pen or any Waterproof Pen\nTube watercolors\, watercolor brushes\, Watercolor Paper 140lb\, Palette or mixing tray\, paper towels\, pencil\, low tack white masking tape – Not colored tape\, spritz bottle\, container for water ex: large sour cream container/small bucket.\nBring a board or a firm surface to tape your watercolor paper on to for support.\n\nIf you are just starting out here are some suggestions that you can order from Amazon: \n \n
