The exhibit will be on view until October 28th. \nAwards will be presented at 7:30 pm in the following categories. \nCATEGORIES: \n\nLandscape: Outside or indoors\, a section or expanse of scenery that can be seen from a single viewpoint.\nPortrait: A likeness of a person\, group\, attempting to reveal something about the character of the individual(s)\nStill Life: Inanimate objects are represented as the subject of the work.\nAbstract: A photograph that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality.\nAnimals: A photograph wherein the subject is an animal\, whether pet\, livestock\, or wild.\n\nPrizes\nBest in Show: $200.00\nBest in each category: $100.00\n5 Merit Awards: Ribbons \nJUDGE: \nEric Levin was formerly the Special Projects Editor at People magazine before becoming the Deputy Editor of New Jersey Monthly magazine\, a position from which he has just recently retired. He is an accomplished Fine Art photographer whose work has been in numerous exhibitions since the 1960’s. The Guild is excited to have him as the juror of this year’s exhibition. \nEXHIBITION CHAIRS \nDan Epstein has been a working photographer since 1976. He primarily shoots people and food; his photographs have appeared in advertising and countless national magazines. He has exhibited his personal work since 1988. \nRobert McKay\, along with his wife and partner Elisabeth Koch-McKay\, owns and operates McKay Imaging Photography\, a photo studio in Red Bank\, New Jersey. Since they began some 29 years ago\, Robert has co-chaired art shows\, directed a film festival\, entered and juried many photography shows\, served on a curating committee\, and an advisory committee for arts organizations\, all in addition to hosting over 40 exhibits in their Red Bank studio space. As an artistic outlet for himself\, he enjoys photographing what he sees… with his iPhone.

DESCRIPTION:This is a 1-day\, three-hour workshop on October 11\, 12-3 pm.\nWe must have six enrolled in order to hold class. \nCurriculum:  \n\nFirst hour- Learning about miniatures and the tricks & tips on how to paint them (size\, scale\, paper etc.).\n2nd hour – Starting a small painting (s) using the techniques from the first hour. (Student will pick the size they want to work on)\n3rd hour – Critique paintings from the workshop and go over any questions about painting miniatures and small works.\n\nJoin this unique workshop\, as we delve into the world of miniature watercolors. You will create a miniature masterpiece\, suitable for displaying in a dollhouse or for any “refrigerator” gallery. This is your chance to try something new.
