This class is for teens\nwho enjoy making art but need guidance with drawing skills\, use of materials\, color choices\nand composition.\nThe principles of design\, composition\, value are learned using the traditional art materials of\nvarious pencils\, watercolor\, acrylic and pastel… or a combination of medium.\nStudents should bring their own materials and their creativity\, with a willingness to experiment\nwith new ideas and/or new materials. If a beginner artist\, bring a sketch pad (10×12)\, drawing\npencils and a kneaded rubber eraser.\nTo encourage growth as an artist\, it is helpful to this instructor if for the first few sessions\,\nstudents bring in a few samples of their art\, to initiate a discussion about their learning goals.
