Statement from Children's Instructors, Alison Amelchenko (732-892-3797) and Carol Colvin (732-270-9482):

Children’s Art Programs at the Guild

Alison Amelchenko said, “The Guild has a fun and educational children’s art program directed by Alison Amelchenko and Carol Colvin (teen instructor). The year round classes offer classical drawing and painting techniques, composition and perspective, and color theory. The “unplugged” atmosphere encourages the young artists to explore their imagination in an open minded class for learning, sociability and fun.”

Carol Colvin said, The students in my class are all working on individual projects. Each of them at their own level, with their own abilities. My goal as instructor, is to build on their strengths, and expand their work with an understanding of composition, value differences and painting/drawing skill and use of materials. Some students are working in pastel, charcoal, and watercolor.”
