Tips and Tricks for Framing your Artwork
Join us in a two hour class about the ins and outs of how to best present your art. Diane Israel,
a board member, who for twenty eight years had an art gallery in Montclair, will guide you to
better framing your art.
In this class you will learn
● what glazing to use that will not harm your artwork.
● What mat boards to use for art preservation
● Mat or not to mat, that is the question
● Picking out mat colors for maximum enhancement
● Finding the perfect frame
● Proper hardware for hanging
● Choosing DYI or professional framing
● Maintaining the personality of the artwork
The class will include handouts but is not an interactive event. The class will be followed by a
question and answer period.
Circle the date of Saturday, April 4th from 12:30 to 2PM for your class in framing. A fee of $20
will be charged for the class with partial proceeds going to OCAG.
