STATEMENT
I am most interested in looking for subtle details and moods of my subjects – some small feature, a piece of clothing, facial gestures, hand movements. I try to catch them at a particular moment in time. What was their journey? Where are they now?
I am intrigued by workday projects, and I seek to have my paintings tell a story to the viewer, to examine and react to everyday activities that we may take for granted. I hope that my viewers will find meaning in what is happening in the narrative of the work.
Gallery 2: Sherry Dellaria-McGrath

Artists Bio:
I, Sherry Dellaria-McGrath, am committed to capturing the delicate beauty and whimsical essence of nature through
the art of drawing. My work is a celebration of the harmonious interplay between the natural world and the boundless
realm of imagination, where each piece invites the viewer into a realm of joy and wonder.
Nature, in all its intricate splendor, serves as my primary muse. Every stroke of my pencil seeks to pay homage to the
delicate details found in the flora and fauna that surround us. It is within these details that I strive to evoke a sense of
happiness and beauty, creating compositions that resonate with a playful spirit and a sense of enchantment. The
whimsical elements in my work are not mere embellishments but integral components that breathe life and narrative
into each drawing, inviting viewers to embark on a journey where reality and fantasy converge.
In my creative process, I immerse myself in the subtleties of my subjects, employing a meticulous approach that
honors both the complexity and simplicity of nature’s designs. My aim is to encapsulate the fleeting moments of joy
and the enduring allure of the whimsical, crafting pieces that not only captivate the eye but also engage the heart.
Through my art, I aspire to foster a connection between the viewer and the natural world, encouraging a rediscovery
of the joy and magic found in the everyday. It is my hope that my drawings serve as a reminder of the beauty that
surrounds us, urging us to look beyond the ordinary and find delight in the whimsical intricacies of life.

Artists Statement:
My art journey is a vibrant dance between nature’s wonders and the delightful realm of whimsy.
When the world feels a bit too serious, I find comfort in sketching the playful side of life. My
drawings are a joyful mix of meticulous details and a burst of colors. Each piece I create is meant
to radiate happiness and invite you on a whimsical adventure through enchanted forests or floral
meadows.
Nature is my endless muse, offering endless patterns and colors, from the swirling vines of a
morning glory to the iridescent wings of a dragonfly. I love capturing these elements, but with a
twist that teases the imagination and brings a smile to your face. It’s all about finding joy in the
little things and sharing that joy through art.
