From saucers to superheroes and anything in between, the subject matter is your selection !!!
Utilize your own photo reference material, or borrow from the instructor. This class is for teens
who enjoy making art but need guidance with drawing skills, use of materials, color choices
and composition.
The principles of design, composition, value are learned using the traditional art materials of
various pencils, watercolor, acrylic and pastel… or a combination of medium.
Students should bring their own materials and their creativity, with a willingness to experiment
with new ideas and/or new materials. If a beginner artist, bring a sketch pad (10×12), drawing
pencils and a kneaded rubber eraser.
To encourage growth as an artist, it is helpful to this instructor if for the first few sessions,
students bring in a few samples of their art, to initiate a discussion about their learning goals.
