Congratulations to Our People’s Choice Winners!

We did something new at this month’s member art show opening, and it was a wonderful success! Guests were invited to vote for their favorite piece in the Members Studio for our Members Art exhibit, encouraging everyone at the reception to slow down, look closely, and truly engage with the creativity of our member artists.

Congratulations to our first-ever People’s Choice winners:

  • 1st Place: Keith Alan Spaar Sr. — Sunset Sail
  • 2nd Place: James Doremus — Silent Forest
  • 3rd Place: Declan Archdeacon — What?

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this new tradition such a fun and meaningful part of our opening reception. The People’s Choice vote will be an ongoing feature at future openings, giving our community another special way to celebrate and support our talented member artists.

June Gallery Opening Reception, a Phenomenal Success

The opening reception for our June show was a phenomenal success! The Guild was filled with energy, conversation, creativity, and community as members, guests, artists, friends, and supporters gathered to celebrate another wonderful month of art at the OCAG. The reception was extremely well attended, and the atmosphere throughout the afternoon was warm, welcoming, and full of excitement. The music and ambiance fit the mood perfectly, creating just the right backdrop for guests to enjoy the artwork, connect with one another, and celebrate the talent on display. A special congratulations goes to our June Featured Artist, photographer Conni Freestone, whose vision came to life beautifully as guests “took a trip down Route 66,” complete with a fun side of “tourist trap!” Conni’s show captured the nostalgia, color, character, and roadside charm of this iconic American journey, bringing viewers along for a creative and memorable ride. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the reception such a success, from the artists who shared their work, to the volunteers who helped prepare and welcome guests, to everyone who attended and supported our creative community. Art will remain on display through the end of June, and we encourage everyone to stop by to experience it in person. Thank you again to all who joined us for such a fantastic opening reception!

Happy 89th Birthday to Zenka Sommers

Join us in wishing a very happy 89th birthday to OCAG member Zenka Sommers! We wish you a beautiful year ahead filled with happiness, creativity, good health, and many more moments surrounded by friends and art.
