2027 Executive Board Nominations Are Open

The Ocean County Artists Guild is seeking Executive Board Officers and Trustees who are passionate about our mission: The Ocean County Artists’ Guild works with the region to bring high-quality cultural experiences through art education, demonstrations, lectures, and concerts.

The Nominating Committee will lead the nomination process. The committee will reach out to candidates to determine their interest, they will interview candidates. The committee may consider skills, experience, motivations, giving capacity, and other factors. Following completion of the review process, the Committee will identify potential nominees.

Nominations will be accepted from September 15th through October 15th.

The ballot will be available in paper form at the Ocean County Artists Guild starting on November 15th. If anyone requires the form electronically the form will be e-mailed to the individual as per their request and given the e-mail addresses of the nominating committee to send it back.

Election results will be available on December 15th.

Newly elected Ocean County Artists Guild Executive Board will be sworn in during the January Board meeting.

Save the Date October Member Meeting

Our next OCAG Member Meeting will be Saturday, October 24 at 11:00 AM. We hope you’ll join us to hear the latest Guild news, connect with fellow members, and share ideas. Don’t forget to bring a dish to share! Following the meeting, we’ll enjoy a potluck together. It’s a wonderful chance to catch up and spend time with our creative community.

Halloween Mask Magic Workshop with Michelle Dillon

Get ready for some spooky, creative fun ! Young artists in 5th through 12th grade are invited to join our two-part Halloween Mask Magic Workshop, where they’ll explore the exciting art of mask making using plaster gauze. Students will learn to manipulate materials to create three-dimensional features, bringing their choice of an animal or human face to life. During the second session, they’ll add the finishing touches with paint, transforming their creations into one-of-a-kind Halloween masterpieces. This hands-on workshop encourages creativity, builds confidence, and is guaranteed to be a blast!

• Dates: Fridays, October 2 & 9, 2026
• Time: 4:00–6:00 PM
• Cost: $60 (includes all materials)
• Ages: 5th through 12th grade
• Class Size: Limited to 10 students (minimum of 4)

What to bring: A smock or old clothes, and plenty of imagination!

Call for Art at Icarus Brewing

OCAG artists are invited to submit work for our upcoming “Wings” exhibition at Icarus Brewing in Brick, NJ! Selected artwork will be displayed at the brewery for three months, giving our artists a wonderful opportunity to share their work with a new audience in the community.

• Artists may submit one piece each, up to 24″ x 24″, with a maximum of 15 pieces accepted for the exhibition.
• Join us for Opening Night on October 6 from 5:00–9:00 PM at Icarus Brewing, located at 2045 NJ Route 88, Brick, NJ.
• Please submit artwork to Danielle Archdeacon at OCAG by October 2.
