Thank You, Sailfest Volunteers!

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who represented the OCAG at Sailfest on Saturday! From helping with setup and breakdown, greeting visitors at the Guild, staffing our tables, and bringing smiles to the day with face painting, your time, energy, and enthusiasm helped make OCAG’s presence at Sailfest a success. Events like Sailfest give us an important opportunity to connect with our community, introduce new people to the Guild, and share the exhibitions, classes, workshops, and creative programs that make OCAG such a special place. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time to support the Guild. We truly couldn’t do it without our amazing volunteers!

Call for Art at Icarus Brewing

OCAG artists are invited to submit work for our upcoming “Wings” exhibition at Icarus Brewing in Brick, NJ! Selected artwork will be displayed at the brewery for three months, giving our artists a wonderful opportunity to share their work with a new audience in the community.

Artists may submit one piece each, up to 24″ x 24″, with a maximum of 15 pieces accepted for the exhibition.
Join us for Opening Night on October 6 from 5:00–9:00 PM at Icarus Brewing, located at 2045 NJ Route 88, Brick, NJ.
Please submit artwork to Danielle Archdeacon at OCAG by October 2.

Since 1957, the OCAG has provided a welcoming home for artists, musicians, and creatives of all skill levels throughout New Jersey. The Guild has worked to keep the arts accessible, vibrant, and connected to the community through exhibitions, classes, events, and opportunities for local artists. Every contribution helps us maintain our historic home, provide meaningful arts programming, and preserve a creative space where our community can gather, learn, and grow. Oil Painting Class with Debbie Kurtz, All Levels Welcome

Join us this autumn for an inspiring Oil Painting Class taught by instructor Debbie Kurtz. Whether you are a beginner exploring oils for the first time or an experienced artist looking to strengthen your technique, this class offers a welcoming and creative environment for all skill levels. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s words, “The artist sees what others only catch a glimpse of,” students will enjoy the process of creating original oil paintings from personal landscape or still-life photographs while developing composition skills and confidence with the medium. Participants are encouraged to bring a selection of favorite reference photos along with their canvas and oil painting materials.

Important Reminder for Exhibiting Artists

If you are preparing to submit artwork for an upcoming Members’ Show, please make sure your OCAG membership is active and your dues are current. All participating artists must have an active membership at the time of hanging and installation. Artwork submitted by anyone whose membership is not current will not be displayed. To renew your membership or complete your submission, please visit the OCAG Shop. Thank you for helping us keep the exhibition process running smoothly. We look forward to showcasing your work!
