Calling all OCAG artists! We are now accepting submissions for the Rotary of Toms River’s Sailfest 2026 competition. The winning artwork will be featured on official Sailfest shirts and showcased during the event!

OCAG Quarterly Member Meeting & Potluck

Join us on Saturday, June 13 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM for our next Ocean County Artists Guild Quarterly Member Meeting. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow members, hear updates, share ideas, and learn about upcoming events, classes, and opportunities. Member meetings are an important part of helping shape the future of our creative community, and we encourage everyone to attend. After the meeting, stay and enjoy a potluck lunch with friends and fellow artists! Members are invited to bring a favorite dish or dessert to share.

Call for Art: June Members Show

This June Members Show suggested theme is “Artist’s Choice” giving members the freedom to showcase the work that best represents their creativity, passion, and artistic voice. Whether your work is bold and colorful, soft and subtle, abstract or traditional, we invite all members to participate and fill the galleries with a vibrant celebration of artistic expression. “The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work.” We can’t wait to see what you’ve been creating!

Social Responsibility Day 2026

Join us for Social Responsibility Day 2026 on Friday, June 5 from 9 AM–2 PM! In partnership with Convergint Technologies, we’ll be coming together to beautify the Guild: gardening, planting, and giving back to the creative space we all love.

OCAG Office Closure Notice

Please note that the OCAG office will be closed the week of June 21, 2026. The building will remain open and all classes will continue as scheduled during this time. Normal business hours will resume the week of June 28.

Call for Art: July Members Show

Get ready to unleash your creativity for the July Members Show! This month’s suggested theme is: F.I.F.A. — Fun Interesting Fantastic Art. We’re inviting members to think outside the box and submit artwork that is bold, imaginative, playful, expressive, or simply uniquely YOU. Let your creativity run wild and bring us artwork that sparks conversation and celebrates artistic freedom. Let’s fill the galleries with energy, creativity, and summer inspiration!

Oil Painting Class with Debbie Kurtz, All Levels Welcome

Join us this summer for an inspiring Oil Painting Class taught by instructor Debbie Kurtz. Whether you are a beginner exploring oils for the first time or an experienced artist looking to strengthen your technique, this class offers a welcoming and creative environment for all skill levels. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s words, “The artist sees what others only catch a glimpse of,” students will enjoy the process of creating original oil paintings from personal landscape or still-life photographs while developing composition skills and confidence with the medium. Participants are encouraged to bring a selection of favorite reference photos along with their canvas and oil painting materials.
