We were granted monies thru the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission to erect a mural on our property that would offer visually impaired visitors to feel the mural. More about the mural: the design has raised contour lines and textures to create a tactile experience for the visually impaired. Also, there is a raised braille pattern under the slogan “We grow artists” so that it can be read by the visually impaired. This mural is intended to attract new visitors, patrons, and members so that we can continue our mission to grow artists and art lovers in Ocean County and beyond.

We issued a call for art and received about 56 submissions of line drawings which I then digitized, composed and colorized into the attached proposed mural design.

I am so thankful for the members who contributed to the mural. Whether you submitted a drawing, helped to trace the design, helped to paint it, or just popped in to chat or express your support, it could not have been created without you!
I thank you all so much!
