Students will explore the beauty of contrast of light and dark that can be achieved with charcoal on paper. Students will learn how to arrange and light a still life, how to sketch/layout/compose the image on paper, and then how to apply and blend charcoal to create chiaroscuro effects.
Bring your own 9 by 12 inch sketchbook. Use of all other materials provided by the instructor.
